Meet Alexa Burica

Alexa Burica brings over 20 years of dance experience, with a passion for contemporary/lyrical and jazz. She began choreographing in high school through the Fine and Performing Arts Program (FPAC), where she developed her love for storytelling through movement and created multiple pieces for annual showcases.

A graduate of Rutgers University, Alexa was an active member of the Rutgers Performing Dance Company, choreographing featured works across several semesters. She later earned her Master’s degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from the Rutgers Graduate School of Education. As a third-grade teacher, Alexa integrates movement into her classroom, blending her passion for dance with academic learning.

Outside of school, she choreographs competitive routines for dancers of all ages and is barre technique certified, teaching barre fusion classes at her local yoga studio. Alexa is excited to continue creating and inspiring at East Coast Dance Arts.
